Dr. Melanie Coleman, LLMSW

Dr. Melanie Coleman, LLMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep commitment to mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. She earned her undergraduate degree from Saginaw Valley State University and went on to receive her Master’s in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. Driven by her passion for faith and community, she later obtained a Doctorate in Theology from Midwest Theological University, where she focused her research on the influence of male leadership within the church and broader faith-based communities.Since receiving her bachelor’s in 2014, Dr. Coleman has dedicated her career to serving individuals impacted by mental health challenges, traumatic brain injuries, and substance use disorders. She specializes in supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, and grief, and has led therapeutic groups on addiction recovery, self-esteem, women’s issues, and biblical education.

Dr. Coleman also has a heart for working with couples, offering both premarital and marriage counseling. Through her work, she has seen firsthand that a healthy relationship can foster peace, security, and stability—not only for the couple, but for future generations.

At the core of her practice is the belief that transformation begins when people are equipped with the right tools, resources, and support. She is passionate about helping individuals develop positive systems rooted in their personal strengths and life experiences. Dr. Coleman provides a compassionate, faith-informed environment where individuals and families can heal, grow, and thrive.
