Stori Tavian, LLMSW
Stori is a Limited License Social Worker (LLMSW) and earned her Master’s Degree from Saginaw Valley State University.
She has gained experience in her career by facilitating individual therapy, group therapy on an inpatient unit, and providing crisis intervention services in an Emergency Room setting. She has a passion for working with adolescents and adults with specific interests assisting those struggling with mood disorders, stress management, and women’s issues. Additionally, her clinical expertise extends to the LGBTQ+ community by providing support and a welcoming space to people of all gender identities, cultures, and sexual orientations.
She has experience working with those with symptoms of depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, anxiety, and thought distortions. Her goal is to create a space where empathy, compassion, and healing lead to growth. Stori utilizes client centered therapy and meets you where you are at to work together to navigate obstacles, develop coping skills, and foster growth.
Stori enjoys spending time with her yorkies, maintaining her houseplants, playing video games, reading and being with her loved ones. She is enthusiastic about the field of social work/psychotherapy and enjoys meeting new people and creating a therapeutic environment for her clients.
