Emily Jung-Hoste, LMSW

Some things we’re born into, some things we choose with or without knowing, and some things are circumstances of life or our environment. Any of these things can make it hard to cope or function. If you are hoping for a change, are unhappy with what is happening to you or the stage of life you’re in, please know: You are the change you are seeking. You can gain insight into patterns; you can create awareness around how you interact in relationships. I’m here to talk with you about how to do that.

Maybe you struggle to get started, to keep motivation. Maybe your mind races and it’s hard to figure out priorities or create calm. Maybe you feel disconnected from your sense of self.  I can meet with you via virtual sessions, right where you’re at is the best place to start. I can meet in early mornings and evenings around a work/kid sleep/life obligations schedule or on weekends.

My bachelor’s degree is in psychology; my master's degree is in social work. I have worked with people for the past two decades on their hopes, dreams, goals - all big and small. Life or death worries, life changing hurdles. I am here to sit with you on what’s hard, listen to what you’ve gone through, and guide you when you’re stuck. You have options even when you don’t feel like you do.

My specialties are in maternal mental health, grief and loss, caregiver fatigue, but I’ve worked with adults in all stages of life. I am an advocate and ally. I am trauma-informed, trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness approaches.

Know that peace is inside of you and if you’re not sure how to gain that, let’s talk about it. I believe we can find it. We can take it one step at a time and make what is overwhelming make more sense so you can keep going forward.
