Angela Lentine, LLPC, CAADC-DP
Angela (Anj) Lentine is a trauma-informed therapist specializing in addiction, grief, anxiety, and life transitions. She is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) and graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2025 with a specialization in addiction counseling.
Anj supports adults navigating trauma, grief, emotional overwhelm, substance use concerns, and seasons of significant change. Her approach is warm, culturally responsive, and rooted in compassion—offering clients a space to slow down, feel seen, and begin making sense of what they are carrying. She provides individual counseling and facilitates group and experiential work, integrating evidence-based practices and relational care drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and person-centered therapy.
Alongside her clinical training, Anj brings nearly three decades of study and experience in personal development, leadership, and integrative practices. She is a certified yoga instructor with a focus on philosophy and contemplative practice rather than physical fitness, a trained death doula, and a ritual elder who facilitates grief- and transition-focused workshops. These experiences inform a holistic, grounded approach that honors both the nervous system and the deeper meaning-making processes involved in healing and recovery.
Anj works with adults of all backgrounds, identities, orientations, and lived experiences. Her practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming to anyone seeking a therapist who honors the whole of who they are. She also strives to create space for diverse cultural values, spiritual or faith perspectives, and varying recovery pathways, including harm-reduction approaches.
Clients often describe Anj’s style as authentic, intuitive, compassionate, and gently direct. She believes healing happens through connection, curiosity, and a therapeutic relationship where each person’s story is met with respect.
